Ein Abend in WORM: Rashad Becker, CV VISION, NITV

Ein Abend in WORM is an event series for the headstrong underground music cultures coming out of Germany. In previous years ‘Ein Abend…’ hosted artists such as Palais Schaumburg, Wolf Müller (Jan Schulte), Der Plan, Chris Imler, Die Goldenen Zitronen, Bodenständig 2000, Transport, Asmus Tietchens, Don’t DJ, Tolouse Low Trax and many others. This year’s line up features Rashad Becker and CV Vision with the support of more local ‘Krauts’.

Rashad Becker – Live
Rashad Becker is a composer and musician residing in Berlin. His compositions are multilayered narratives populated by an ensemble of sonic entities; some smug, some shy, some agitating, others ready to surrender. In his music there often there’s a tragicomic touch, maybe a cartoon version of what could be a requiem from a dream. Recent works include the cycle ‘Traditional Music Of Notional Species’; released across two volumes on the renowned PAN label, and a multi-part work called ‘Based On A True Story’; that derives scores from historical occurrences in a sort of sonic staging. Rashad is mainly active as a solo artist but finds himself in a series of permanent collaborations alongside Eli Keszler, Moritz von Oswald (Basic Channel) and as a member of the formation Moleglove.

Controlled Voltage Vision is a machine in the mind of a human. It triggers feelings, samples memories and multiplies reactions. Live stepping sequencers and early electronic devices. To capture this music, it has been recorded through screaming preamps on dirty tape.

NITV// – Visuals
NITV// is a Hague-based artist NR Urban. She studied at ArtEZ Aki in Enschede, SMFA in Boston and at the KABK. Her visuals include animated drawings and a variety of other media, abstract fields of rhythm, texture and colour, and video-mapping.
